Website Redesign for a Oil and Gas Accounting Software Company.

UI/UX Case Study

About The Client

The company provides a modern Production Operations platform for modern Energy operations. Their Software links all facets of Production Operations to help companies communicate across all Operations departments. Whether it’s automating production or regulatory/government reports, simplifying reconciliations, integrating with multiple SCADA/accounting/engineering platforms, or using machine learning and AI to answer questions like “What facility needs my attention today and why” or “which well is at risk for downtime” and more.

Solutions:

  1. Field Data Capture
  2. Production Management & Surveillance
  3. Event Tracking & Custom Forms

The Task:

The requirement was to revamp the company’s website so that it combines rebranding and improves the overall experience of the site.

  1. Rebuild the Information Architecture (IA) for the website.
  2. Make sure that the new website is in accordance with the brand’s identity and rules.

The Team:

A  team of three UX designers was assigned to the project. We separated the complete procedure into 3 phases as follows:

  • Initial Phase: Research
  • Creating Phase: Prototype & Testing
  • Final Phase: Visual Design & Handoff

After every process or design choice, we had a team discussion about it, where the team members shared their comments and insights on the concepts they came up with. We utilized an agile project management strategy for this endeavor, which assisted us in iterating and testing the concepts quicker.

Problem Statement:

  • The website was not optimized for responsive design, therefore mobile users were encountering issues using it.
  • The website UI was out of trend and not easy to use.
  • Bits and pieces of information were only provided and scattered throughout the page. This created a problem in giving a true purpose of the Account Software that the website was supposed to portray.
  • CTAs were missing at the key location, and other important information was not highlighted properly to catch the user’s attention.

Design Process:

Research:

Target audience: Clients, Jobseekers

Digital Dadi began with identifying problems in the present website with our fresh eyes and carried out a UX audit to understand the pain points and areas of improvement in the actual experience of the site.
As we worked out the current kinks on the website, the next stage was to define the attitude and expectations for the website.

Navigation Site Map:

In the initial brainstorming phase, we looked over a number of websites for inspiration and evaluated the advantages and drawbacks of each website. We discussed how we might combine the positive traits (good call to action, clear and concise content, etc) into our website. After all the competition analysis and internet research, we came up with our own site map plan.

Digital Marketing Solutions

We put together the B2B strategy both short-term and long term, so that the Software Training Institute gets a constant flow of leads and enquiry. The integrated digital marketing approach included:

  1. Google & Facebook Ad
  2. Search Engine Optimization
  3. Social Media Optimization
  4. Aggressive Off-Page Listing
  5. Google My Business

Happy Clients

The content... was fantastic. Not only are the outcomes obvious, but they also required a significant amount of work from your writing staff, which I would not have done. As a result, this is an actual net gain, as I would not have had the opportunity to accomplish this if it weren't for your content staff. We've employed agencies before and weren't satisfied - but the team couldn't be happier with you. The outcomes are genuine.
